The 'Axis of Resistance' Squares-Up To Anglo-American-Israeli Obduracy

This has been another consequential week for West Asia and the Anglo-American-Israeli military triad. If there was any doubt previously, it is now clear that the 'axis of resistance'—comprising nationalist militias in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Yemen, together with Iran — is acting in concert with measured counter-responses to Anglo-American-Israeli military escalation.

In response to Yemen’s de facto government targeting Israeli-linked ships in the Red Sea, London and Washington launched hundreds of missiles at Yemen in four separate strikes. Whilst this may present favourable optics for Israel, it will not prevent the targeting of Israeli-linked vessels navigating the Bab el Mandeb Strait. After nearly a decade of war with Saudi Arabia, backed by America and Britain, Yemen’s battle hardened fighters have become adept at moving and hiding their mobile missile launchers.
