This brief update follows on from my previous articles about Russia’s Oreshnik missile system — a new intermediate-range ballistic missile that delivers hypersonic munitions, without the need for explosive warheads, relying solely on kinetic force. My articles can be found here and here.

Whilst there is still no consensus among scientists and military experts on the precise workings of the Oreshnik missile, there is no debate that it can deliver 36 sub-munitions, each striking the target with precision at hypersonic speeds — estimated to be Mach 10+ or about 3 kilometres per second.
